The once lifeless corpse sprung back to life, gasping for breath. The silvery fur slowly darkened to black, all but the mark of a howling wolf in fire on the right shoulder, which did not change at all. The wolf pulled herself to the edge of the water, and lapped up the cool waters untill she was full. Thirsty Much? The fae looked up and on the other side of the creek her spirit, Zmey, laid in a tree with a bemused look on his face. Yes, this wolf was the only living necromancer, Shadow.
"You would be too, Zmey, if you had to inhabit a corpse that slowly died of dehidration. Truely, the old wolf didn't know how to use the stars to navigate... too bad." She chucled, eyes twinkling. "You know, I truely had forgotten how truely great life could feel. Escuisite." She sighed in bliss.
"But one cannot sit still for too long. Come, we must prepare for the full moon. We have one cycle, and we must have decient numbers before then." Shadow turned and began walking toward the skeletal graveyard, Zmey falling into step beside her. Lead the way, Mi' lady."

Where am I? Accalia thought. This doesn't look right... She walked over to the water and bent over to take a drink, but something was off...She felt as though she was being watched. Hastily, she backed away from the water and looked around. It was so dark...So eerie. She saw a fellow wolf not far away, along with...some sort of cat. She wanted to approach them, not wanting to be alone, but at the same time, something just didn't smell right...She stood still, trying to decide what to do.

Shadow Noticed another fae by the creek. Zmey, Fall back, She ordered through their bond, and headed off in the direction of the newcomer. Zmey, on the other hand, walked into the shadows of the surrounding plants to watch the scene as it unfolded.
"Well, what have we here? A tresspasser? Flamier? Or perhaps Aqurias?" Shadow murmured in her own chilling voice. Once she got close enough to catche the other's scent, she relaxed. none would come to help this wolf if Shadow had to kill her. Too bad. "Ah, loner. Well, then, loner, tell me why you tresspass on my domain, and maybe i'll let you live." Shadow Stopped and discovered that, even though the fae was a tall maned wolf, she could look her in the eye. Well, Zmey, It was like Geru said. We come back bigger and better!

Accalia just froze as Shadow spoke in a voice that made a cold chill run down her spine. She whimpered softly and started to back away, but she was sure this wolf could catch back up to her if she tried to run. She opened her mouth, then closed it. "I-I..." she stuttered, then cleared her throat. "I did not realize this was your territory...I just knew this place looked intimidating enough that perhaps no one would want to follow me..." She turned around to see if there was anyone else around, but she didn't see anyone. She smiled very slightly. "Seems I was right so far."

Shadow could almost laugh. This little wolf was terrified! She would be frightened if a little bunny-rabbit came hopping by. But then again, here, the hare may have horns. Ah, well. A tresspasser's a tresspasser. "Oh course no one would follow you. You're in the shadowlands, pup. The homeland of the Rogues. None but them tred here safely. In fact, I'm surprized an imp hasn't gotten to you yet." It was unusuall for one to walk into the shadowlands without disturbing the dark creatures. Made completely out of shadows, they can be tricky.
"But while you're here... would you mind telling me why you came here? Are you a little runaway puppy? perhaps I can make a meal for Zmey out of your packmates." Shadow teased, none too lightly. If there was any looking for the fae, they would die. And with how hungery Shadow was at the moment, she didn't really care if her next meal was imp, deer, or wolf, as long as it was food!

"W-well...Rogues, you say? The only thing I've seen here is you and that cat..." Accalia said with a shudder. What did she mean, 'imps'? And that smile...sneer...it just...Didn't feel right. Then Shadow said something that made her blood boil. "Perhaps I can make a meal for Zmey out of your packmates." She glared at the wolf, then with very forced steadiness, started answering her questions, but maintained her glare. "I came here to get away," she said, clipping her answers, making sure they were short and sweet. "And yes, I did run, though not from my own pack." It was only then she finally stopped glaring and looked away.

"Heh. Well, If you are truely running from someone, stop glaring at me. I did not cause your problems, you did, but I may be able to solve them." Shadow said, suddenly turning serious. "The Rogues are one big family. We take care of family. If you come with us, you will have family that will fight to their last breath for you." She said, and in truth, that is what being Rogue was all about. Even Shadow wasn't completely evil. Then her eyes narrowed. "And that cat you saw is my spirit. You would do well not to insult him. Zmey, come on out." She ordered, and the clouded leopard stalked out of the ferns behind accalia and made his way to lay by Shadow's side. She's not much, but she has the makings of a good fighter, Mi' Lady.

"I did not cause your problems, you did," Accalia growled silently. She didn't know whether she was angry at Shadow for saying that...or if she was angry because it was true. She was the one stupid enough to try to take on the pack all by herself on the off-chance that her family would escape. She's the one who decided not to join the pack who tried to murder her family...Her fault that she ran away... "but I may be able to solve them." Accalia stopped growling and listened as Shadow described the Rouges. "There's a catch, isn't there?" Accalia asked, taking a very guarded stance. "And if I refuse to join?" She then looked at Zmey. "Hi, Zmey."

Shadow smiled. She was begging to like her game very much. And this fae made it all the more fun. "Well, I have to obey the laws I laid down myself, now, don't I? All loners are given a chance to join... But any who refuse are given the same fate as any tresspasser. Death." Shurgging, she contenued. "Though I beleive that would be a waste of your talents. Zmey beleives you to be a good fighter. If you can win his approval, you must be good. Anyhow, It is your choice. Now choose your fate, before anything learns we are here. Rule of thumb; Stay in one place for too long, you get eaten. I would prefer that not to happen. Wouldn't you?"

Either I join or I die...Nice... Accalia thought, grudgingly. She shuddered as she recalled how that other pack tortured her...how they told her her family was dead, so she might as well join them...How they clawed down her muzzle...How was Shadow any different? Maybe she should just get it over with and die there, tell her no...She wondered how far it was to the next territory and how she'd fare against a clouded leopard and a wolf. But maybe joining wasn't such a terrible option. Much as she hated Shadow's behavior and the looks of the place, it was surely better than dying, right? She then had an idea. A stupid idea, but an idea nonetheless. She turned around and started running.

The fae ran. She accually started running! Shadow laughed out loud at that, and crouched for the chase. No one knew this territory better than Shadow, and through hr, Zmey. And besides, She was faster than normal wolves. comes from dying. every time you come back, you get stronger and faster. " Well. You made your choice. But I'm not the bad guy here, remeber that for your last hours. I save the ones Packs spit on! We stand as one!" She growled after her, and launched herself in persuit, Zmey taking Accalia's other side. Soon they should come up, one on each side.

Accalia heard Shadow's sinister laugh and shivered slightly as she ran...She could hear footsteps fast approaching, those of Shadow and Zmey. If they were thinking like she was, they would try to get on either side of her, attacking from both flanks. She'd be completely at their mercy if that happened. She turned sharply toward the creek and leaped over the water, barely managing to land on the other side. She hoped to accomplish two things from this: one was that the turn was sudden and sharp enough that Shadow wouldn't be able to follow her right away. The other was that Zmey would hesitate because he was a clouded leopard. Those didn't like water...right? Ahead, she saw a sinister-looking mountain...Maybe if she could make it to the top, she could see her way out. She picked up her speed, heading straight toward the mountain.

Shadow cursed herself with a snarl, over-shooting where Acallia crossed the creek. Zmey, however, turned on scedule and leaped over the water without any trouble. Unlucky for their prey, clouded leopards are native to rain forests, and one of the few cats that enjoy water. Meanwhile, Shadow crashed across and she and zmey switched sides, coming up closer to the fleeing prey. Shadow put on a boost of speed, and leapt at Accalia's side, trying to drive her to the left into Zmey's claws.

Yikes! Accalia stopped suddenly as Shadow lunged, hoping she would leap right into Zmey, who she knew was waiting just on the other side of her. She braced herself just in case...If she knew anything, it was that that clouded leopard was much harder to throw off than Shadow. Zmey's maneuverability easily matched hers, but she bet if she were to fight the leopard one on one, their strength would be about equal as well. The problem was, if Shadow ever got her, she wouldn't stand a chance...And that wolf was certain to catch on before long. In any case, she knew taking a straight path to the mountain would be suicide. She took off to the right, deciding she would run in zigzags if she had to.

Shadow lundged at Accalia as she turned leaft towards her. Now, Zmey! She yelled to him through their link, and saw out of the corner of her eye that he leapt toward the fae as well, and knowing through their link that he aimed for the top of her neck, and so Shadow changed her tactics. She lundged downward, and then up, hopeing to catch the bottom of Accalia's throat. Her mouth watered with the imaginings of blood in her mouth, flavoring her kill. She had missed the taste of blood.Fifty years without it was far too long for her...
